Michael Anthony Long was born in Louisburg, NC and is a resident and native of Greensboro, NC.  He began his preaching ministry as a Licensed Minister at the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Greensboro.  Pastor Long received his undergraduate education from North Carolina A&T State University in Engineering Physics and Secondary Education.  He was ordained by the Guilford Educational And Missionary Association through the Mount Zion Baptist Church.

 Pastor Long’s ministerial experience covers over 26 years of activity and includes currently serving as the Pastor of the Zion Baptist Church of Reidsville, North Carolina.  Previous ministerial experience includes serving as a Pastor in the High Point, Liberty, and Pelham North Carolina communities. He served as Assistant to the Pastor at the Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA.  He currently serves as the 2nd Vice Moderator of the Rowan Missionary Baptist Association.  Pastor Long conducts revival services, training seminars, Bible classes, and outlines and implements Church Program Development for all ages.  His ministry is highlighted by dynamic preaching and teaching and fervent worship.

 He has been actively involved in religious, community, and civic activities in the communities of which he has lived and served.  He conducted a weekly outreach Breakfast Ministry at the Open Door Ministries of High Point, in which he preached to and fed an average of 75-125 homeless persons every Sunday Morning.  Pastor Long has been active as a Minister in the Guilford and Cedar Grove Associations of the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.  He also served as member of the Executive Committee of Deep River Baptist Union in the Deep River Association.  Pastor Long served a term as the Secretary of the Liberty Association of Churches, Liberty NC.

 Pastor Long’s community and civic activities include serving on the Board of Directors for the Rockingham County Partnership for Children, Inc. and the Board of Directors for the Reidsville Soup Kitchen.  Previous civic involvement has included serving as a Member of the Board of Directors, Habitat for Humanity of Randolph County; former Chief Judge of Voting Precinct G35C, Guilford County Board of Elections; and former Member of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Clinic Advisory Board, Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA.  Pastor Long also served as a Commonwealth of Virginia Representative on the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Public Water System Supervision System Design Team.  He has worked as a Senior Analyst/Developer who managed a team responsible for the operation and technical design of a major multi-million dollar billing system in Winston Salem, NC.

 Pastor Long has received a number of recognitions and awards for ministerial and community service, which includes the Black Achievers in Industry and Business Award from the Winston Lake Family YMCA of Winston Salem, NC, the Key to the City from the Mayor and City Council of Reidsville, NC and the Humanitarian and Brotherhood Award from the National Conference of Christians and Jews.

 Pastor Long is married to the former Robin DeShazo of Danville, VA and they have two sons, Christopher Alan and Cameron Avery, and one daughter, Brittany Nicole.
